Click button to open the statement-centric curation view which lists all the statements with their evidences.
The statement-centric curation view lists all the statements with their evidences. This information is shown in a table which can be sorted and searched.
This view is useful to get a fast overview of the extracted text mining results for the whole document.
Return back to the document list again for starting the curation process of the whole document. Open the same document in the evidence-centric curation view by clicking on the button . This view provides several information which is needed to curate BEL statements.
In the evidence area (top left side) the current evidence with surrounded text is shown. The pagination buttons allows to navigate between evidences. If you think the evidence doesn't contain any relation, you can delete the evidence. It will eventually delete all the listed statements.
On the top right side you find the detected concepts with namespaces. These concepts occur in the current shown evidence. A mouseover on every concept highlights the text phrase in the evidence area.
The statements and annotations are located in the statement edit area on the bottom left side of the page. The detected statements are shown in the text fields. These statements can be corrected by the user. On the right side of the text field two buttons to update and delete the specific statement are located. To store corrected statements, please use the update button! Every statement can have context annotations (e.g Species, MeSHDisease). These can be defined directly after the statement. Using the export flag statements and annotations can be exported.
Storing invalid statements produces warning and error messages and will not be exported. Please correct these statements and annotations according to the error messages.
After curating one evidence move to next to curate others. You may use the icons or choose evidences and sentences in the fulltextview.
All namespaces and annotations can be browsed in the namespace and annotations browsing area. They contain the list of available namespaces and annotations. The search shows the synonyms of the concept which are included in the system. You can click on the info button to access the database directly.
It is also possible to edit the evidence selection. You can open this panel by clicking on it. You may expand the evidence text to the next or previous sentence. If you want, you can add another evidence, delete annotations and create table evidence.
The BELIEF workflow provide automatic annotations which might be incomplete or only partly correct:
Please, check the entities in the BEL statements and correct them if necessary.
Please, check the annotations, correct them or add other annotations.
Please, add missing abundances, functions and transformations and combine partial statements.
Please, exchange a(PH:placeholder) with correct subjects.
Please, select the update button to store corrected statements; otherwise your correction is lost.
Please, correct syntax errors that will be indicated through through warnings - otherwise you cannot export the BEL document.
Please, ignore wrong or redundant BEL statements and their error messages - they will not be exported.
After finishing the curation of the whole document return back to the document list again. Click on the export button to download the BEL document.
After finishing the curation of the whole document you may wish to upload statements.
If you set the curation status to Submit document this will happen automatically. Otherwise, if you have set the curation status to approved you will also find a new icon in the document list:
If you click on that icon, the statements will be submitted and the curation status will change to submitted. Please notice, that only those statements that are marked for export will be submitted.
